Welcome to my photographic odyssey.
For over 30 years I have been making photographs This site was created to bring my images to you.
My work pattern can best be described as multiple, parallel series. Some series begin and end in the course of a day or two; such as my coverage of the Concordia Yawl's 50th anniversary, or the A.K. Miller antique auto stash. Others, such as my Berkshire landscapes have evolved over the decades.
I work with different cameras depending on the subject. As a rule I make the largest negative or digital file practically possible. This translates to the best possible image quality. Subjects dictate image shape too, so some photographs are square, some panoramic and the rest are of a proportion somewhere in between.
I have always worked in both black & white and color. They each have their strong points. Until now, black & white offered more control and a finer selection of printing papers. Not any more. Digital files, either color or black & white, can be printed on some truly sumptuous paper stocks. And now with the internet this work available for you to see.
So pick a series, enter the site and enjoy the journey.
